Is Your Mom Your Biggest Fan?

17

My mom is very proud of me.

I gave her a CD of my music last Christmas.  Whenever her girlfriends come over, she slides out the inlay card and points to the credits where it says, “Thank you mom for being my greatest supporter!”

I know my music is not exactly her cup of tea.  But she’s always been my biggest fan.

And there’s my dad.  He’s my number one follower.  When I told him that everyone’s using Twitter, he went to Home Depot looking for one and came back with an alarm clock. He says it works just fine.

My mom and dad are at the top of my fan list.

Who are YOUR biggest fans and what are you doing to make them feel special this holiday season?

My biggest fan? It depends on the particular piece of music. Some folks like one piece and hate another..

My mom passed away 18 years ago, and she was never very interested in my music. My dad was my biggest fan, but he passed away about 24 years ago. These days, my biggest fans….well, they are in prison! Seriously!! My music is recovery-related, and I go into the Western MA Correctional Alcohol Center every Sunday to minister, and those folks LOVE my music. They love it because it’s all about the wonderful future that they have to look forward to…a future that they thought was lost because of bad decisions of the past. My message is: God has a plan and purpose for your life, no matter how bad you’ve messed it up. Whatever the worst thing is in your past, if you’ll give it to God, He’ll use it to encourage somebody else. Anyway, Merry Christmas everybody!!

thank you for this one Ana. My mother may not like my music but she is surely my greatest support in this life other than the most high GOD himself. Actually I am her biggest fan. I love her so much.

I’m sorry to hear that Marjorie, but it sounds like you’re truly doing some great stuff! Keep it up! Thanks to you, UNIVERSAL and everyone else for taking the time to comment.

Hi Ana
Merry Christmas
Though I have been on records and toured with some amazing artists in recent years my passion has been giving my profits from both my CD’s and the stuff I write for CBS to animal rescue.

I am involved with Lucky’s Wonder of Chinchillas
which is one of the most reknown animal forums on the internet and they are always the first to buy my music and support my TV and radio interviews.

The 1st 100 sales of my new Christmas CD Dear Santa was mostly purchased by them.

You do a great job at audiolife
Happy Holidays and thank you

Haha that’s a pretty funny blog, and I like it even more because it is short :)

Its hard to choose who is my biggest fan between my mom and dad. My dad is always coming up with ideas for my music, but my mom is always out promoting me. But then there’s my sister, she just throws everything for a loop and makes it even harder to decide who the #1 is.

Thanks for the comments folks! We tried to keep it short & sweet, David. ;]

J Swan says:

Hi. My name is J Swan of N-Pursuit and my biggest fan was my mom but she has since passed away. And my new biggest fan is my wife. She loves my music, especially the one song “Don’t Wanna Leave” (A Soldier’s Story) which can be found on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/npursuitgroup. My goal is for every soldier and military family to see this video tribute to our troops. If you have any suggestions or can help me accomplish this, please contact me & let me know. Thank you very much.

Ana Ana says:

Good luck Kevin! It must be fun performing with your wife.

And great work J. Swan! I hope your video reaches our troops.
